Privacy notice

Sensim runs on its own server. This page says what it stores about you, what stays in your browser and what never leaves either.

Your account

If you register, Sensim stores your username, the email address you signed up with and the practice history tied to your account: which questions you answered, whether you were right and how long you took. That history is what decides what you see next. The display name is whatever you type, and you can leave it blank. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, never as text.

Without an account

You can practice without registering. Your browser then keeps a random guest id, and the server stores your practice history under that id instead of a name.

In your browser

Sensim keeps your sign-in token, your guest id, your theme and your language in your browser’s local storage. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

The contact box

A message sent from the contact page is stored with your account id, or your guest id if you are not signed in, so that a fix can be followed up. Do not put a password in it, and do not put anyone else’s details in it.

The assistant

Sensim has an optional assistant that is switched off. If it is ever switched on, it will only receive the message you type, never your name, email, answers or progress, and the panel will ask for your consent before the first message.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in Settings. That removes your account and its practice history from the database.
